Mango Nice Cream

Nice cream is the ideal ice cream for the figure-conscious. It is vegan, gluten-free and consists of just two ingredients – frozen bananas and some plant milk. Here are the three best variations on nice cream for the perfect summer.

Our tip:

Don’t throw away brown bananas – you can use them as the basis for your vegan nice cream. Just peel, slice and freeze them in individual portions.

1. Choco-Coco Nice Cream

Ingredients (1 serving):

  • 2 frozen bananas (cut into slices)
  • 2 Tbsp coconut milk
  • 1 Tbsp cacao powder (unsweetened)
  • 1 tsp agave nectar (optional)
  • 1 tsp coconut flakes
  • 1 tsp chopped chocolate (at least 70% cacao)

Directions:

Blend the frozen bananas, coconut milk, cacao powder and agave nectar in a high-power blender. Depending on the consistency, you may have to add some extra milk. Sprinkle your finished nice cream with coconut flakes and chopped chocolate.

One serving has 375 calories, 58 g of carbohydrates, 5 g of protein and 10 g of fat.

2. Mango Nice Cream

Ingredients (1 serving):

  • 2 frozen bananas (cut into slices)
  • 100 g frozen mango chunks
  • 2 Tbsp coconut milk

Directions:

Blend all three ingredients in a high-power blender until creamy. You may have to add a little extra milk. Our tip: how about topping your nice cream with fresh kiwi and strawberries?

One serving has 312 calories, 63 g of carbohydrates, 3 g of fat and 3 g of protein.

3. Peanut Butter Nice Cream

Peanut Butter Chocolate Ice Cream

Ingredients (1 serving):

  • 2 frozen bananas (cut into slices)
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 Tbsp almond milk (unsweetened)
  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions:

Blend all the ingredients in a high-power blender until creamy. This nice cream tastes great with some cacao powder on top.

One serving has 359 calories, 52 g of carbohydrates, 11 g of fat and 8 g of protein.
