LIVE Tracking & Cheering: How to Activate the Functions in the adidas Running App

If you want to participate in Cheer Me to Berlin, you have to activate both LIVE Tracking and Allow Cheering in your adidas Running app during your run on September 15th between 11 and 12 o’clock (your local time):

Important for Friends:

If you want to cheer on a runner, go to Notifications in the Runtastic app and activate Live Activity. This way you will be informed when your friend is running, so you can motivate him or her with cheers.

  1. Create a clear vision
    Imagine this: you and your best friend go to Berlin to experience the exhilarating atmosphere in the VIP area at one of the most famous marathons in the world. Do you feel the excitement, see the crowds, hear the cheering? A clear vision will keep you motivated to reach your goal!
  2. More effort = more cheers
    Hard work pays off! Find creative ways to ask your friends & family to cheer for you during that 1-hour time slot on that specific day. Send emails and messages, and most importantly: tell them about your goal when you see them. Offering them a favor in return is even better! Be resourceful here, maybe you can join them on a run, cook them a meal, or help with homework. Don’t forget to take the time to explain how the “cheering” works in the adidas Running app. Not everyone is as digitally savvy as you.
  3. Believe in yourself
    Your friends & family might share your enthusiasm, but they may also be doubtful and even discourage you at times. My tip: stay positive, hang in there. Quitters never win, and winners never quit. Trust in yourself, Berlin is calling!
