Asian Delight: Recipe for Chicken in Peanut Butter Sauce

Chicken in Peanut Butter Sauce

Chicken in peanut butter sauce


  • 3 Tbsp canola oil
  • 600 g chicken (cubed)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp ginger (grated)
  • Red pepper flakes (to taste)
  • 400 g tomates (diced)
  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • 100 g pure peanut butter
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 Tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 Tbsp chopped peanuts


  1. Heat 2 Tbsp of canola oil in a pan and cook the chicken cubes. Put them aside in a bowl.
  2. Now add 1 Tbsp of oil in the same pan. Press the garlic into the pan and heat together with the red pepper flakes and ginger.
  3. Then add the tomatoes, coconut milk, and peanut butter one at a time. Season with 2 tsp of garam masala. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Then add the chicken and the chopped cilantro.
  5. Our tip: serve the peanut butter coconut chicken over rice and top with crushed peanuts.
