Fitness is for everyone – yes, YOU!
Perhaps the idea of working out is frightening to you. Or, maybe the popular image of fitness portrayed by the media seems completely unattainable to you – so why even try, right? WRONG! Let’s get one thing straight right at the beginning: Fitness isn’t confined to a certain training style, body shape, body weight or body fat percentage – it’s all about pushing yourself to be the best YOU!
One of the most amazing things about fitness is that there isn’t a one size fits all program. That means, you can do something completely different than your neighbor, friend, co-worker, spouse, etc. and still get the results that you want! No matter your age, gender, fitness level, current weight, personal issues, family situation – fitness is for you!
First, let’s focus on some of the incredible benefits that working out provides:
- strong muscles
- strong bones
- burns fat
- boosts mood
- increases sex drive
- reduces stress
- sharpens memory
- can help improve sleep
- boosts energy
- combats against health conditions & diseases
- helps clear your mind
Now, let’s be realistic. All of the above mentioned benefits don’t come from just one week of working out or even one month. You have to be consistent and really make time for self improvement if you want to actually see long lasting results. With that being said, there are so many different ways that you can work out and the most important thing is that you find something that you like to do and that’s fun! Who wants to stick to a training plan or workout when they think it’s boring & dreadful – not me!
In order to figure out what you like, it’s going to take some trial and error. If you’re an endurance junkie and like an intense workout that’s going to make you sweat than maybe test out spinning, HIIT or Tabata training. If you want something more low impact maybe walking, yoga, pilates or water aerobics is your cup of tea. You might even figure out that you absolutely love hitting the weights or perhaps you’ll realize you prefer working out without a gym or going running outdoors.
Whatever way you choose to get your fitness on – it’s up to you to find it! I guarantee that every person in this world can find at least one of the benefits mentioned earlier useful in their life. I mean who doesn’t want a better sex life (achieved, for example, by getting your sweat on with some couple exercises), more energy & reduced stress?
