8 Brilliant Food Hacks For Dads & You

Dads are awesome. The guardian, head of the family, bread-winner, householder – wait, what? That’s as what fathers are often referred to, but is this really true? Householder? As in head of the household? Well, they are sure head of the BBQ, steamers or toasters. But how about their bread, strawberries or cheese “operating skills”?
Just in time for Father’s Day, we will reveal a few food hacks for dads and a few kitchen secrets that they can show off in the future. Teach your dad these tricks and seize the chance to prepare a delicious Father’s Day breakfast with him. Spend some quality time together. Now, let’s get started:
1. Flip it!
Try another tactic and cut your bread upside down. This makes it so much easier, plus you don’t squeeze your bread.
2. Oh no, the butter is hard as stone?
You forgot to take the butter out of the fridge to soften? No problem! To slightly heat it in the microwave but preventing the piece from turning into a yellow puddle, just impale it on a few toothpicks. Careful: A few seconds is plenty – we don’t want the butter to explode :
3. Always end up with runny yolks?
This won’t happen when frying your eggs in an avocado. Halve the “jungle butter”, cut off a slice from the bottom, and carve out just enough avocado flesh for it to hold the whole egg. Place the avocado(s) in a pan, put on a lid and cook for 5 minutes on a low heat. Your eggs sunny side up will look gorgeous and taste delicious.
4. How to de-stem strawberries
Use a straw – easy as pie.
5. No cheese knife at hand?
Use (tasteless) dental floss to cut your cheese into dainty slices.
6. Not enough space in your kitchen?
Create extra space by opening your drawers.
7. Yummy, smoothies! And who cleans the blender?
Add warm water and a dash of detergent to your blender, mix it up and rinse with water afterwards – et voilà, you’re done. It’s as easy as that.
8. Afraid to burn your fingers?
Candle wick too low to reach? Don’t panic: use a raw spaghetti to light it.
Tadaaaa, you’re breakfast is ready!
Enjoy it with your dad!
