I am lucky to live in a great community like Houston – one that is an active running community and loves giving back to various charities. RUN 10 FEED 10 has been a perfect match. I have been blessed to be a part of this charity run for the past four years, and have seen how it has impacted children and families right in my own neighborhood.

The cool thing about RUN 10 FEED 10 is that even those folks who don’t have a ton of money to donate can help this cause. Just by registering to run, a cost of $35 for a Fun Run, 10 meals will be donated to families in your local community.

So many people are looking to run a race and help a worthy cause at the same time. I think it’s the branding, messaging and tenacity of those behind RUN 10 FEED 10 that keep making this series bigger every year.

It is also really great to see other strong women across the country join this program and use their voice – whether on social media, at their jobs or in their communities – to help raise awareness and money for such an important cause. No one deserves to go hungry and it’s been an honor to be a part of this program and help it grow.

2016 is going to be our best year yet! I’m expecting big things from the RUN 10 FEED 10 community, especially here in Houston! For more information and to register visit, RUN 10 FEED
