Runtastic Success Story: Less Work, More Motivation

I’m 30 years old, married, father of two little girls and work as a technical project manager for a Swiss software company.

I started running about 10 years ago.  Back then, I weighed 276 lbs (125 kg) and eventually lost 132 lbs (60 kg) within 9 months.  But when I became a father, 4 years ago, I stopped doing sports, began to smoke and turned into a real couch potato.  The result: +88 lbs (+40 kg).  Then, 6 months ago, I stopped smoking completely and started working out and running instead.  This was also the moment when I first downloaded the Runtastic app and immediately I was very motivated by all its functionalities.  Tracking my performance suddenly became so easy!  No more handwriting or filling out excel spreadsheets.

My current status: I lost almost 30 lbs (13 kg) since I started training with Runtastic and I now weigh 192 lbs (87.3 kg).  My average pace is about 5 min/km.

My goals: I want to lose another 30 lbs & finish a half marathon by fall.

I even have my goals for 2015 planned out: I want to finally achieve my ideal weight & finish a marathon!
