The 4 Nutrient-Packed Breakfast Smoothies You Should Be Drinking

We asked our Runtastic users: What is your favorite smoothie? We got over 200 submissions and it was really hard to choose the best ones! Here are the top four:

1. Carrot Cake Smoothie

  • 5oz shredded carrots
  • 1 banana
  • 3 tbsp walnuts
  • 2 tbsp coconut milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 scoop vegetable protein of choice
  • dash of unsweetened coconut flakes
  • dash of cinnamon
  • 1 cup of ice

Mmm, this is the perfect holiday treat! Especially when all the sugary snacks are tempting you around the office.

2. Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
  • ½ banana
  • 12 tbsp of natural peanut butter
  • 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk

Not only is peanut butter tasty, it’s also filled with good fats and some protein. This smoothie will give you the right kick in the morning!

3. Peach Cobbler Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 12 handfuls of spinach
  • 1 banana
  • ½ cup frozen peaches
  • ¼ cup uncooked oats
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • dash of cinnamon

Spinach is a great way to get in your greens. And trust us, you can’t even taste it in a smoothie.

4. Triple Berry Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup blueberries, raspberries & blackberries (mixed, not ½ cup of each)
  • splash of coconut water
  • 1 ½ cup almond milk
  • ½ cup of granola
  • 3 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 banana
  • 3 kale leaves
  • 2 tbsp flaxseed meal

This is a fiber powerhouse and the perfect breakfast fuel to kickstart your day. We should add that the granola should be low-sugar. Some of the brands out there are basically packed with sugar and not healthy at all. Keep that in mind when shopping for granola.
