Vegan Post-Workout Shake (Without Protein Powder!)

Feeling famished after a tough workout? You want to eat something as soon as possible and healthy of course. But, you also don’t want to overdo it on the calories. This homemade post-workout shake is exactly what you need: It is vegan, dairy-free, full of protein, and a quick source of carbohydrates and essential fatty acids. It’s perfect if you are looking to replenish your energy stores post-workout without interfering with your weight loss goals.

Ingredients for 1 serving:

  • 2 small ripe bananas
  • 200 ml almond milk (unsweetened)
  • 2 Tbsp peanut butter (100 % peanuts)
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • Some grated vanilla

Directions:

Peel the bananas and blend them with the other ingredients until they turn into a creamy shake. Enjoy it after your next sweaty workout!

One serving contains 350 calories, 45 g of carbohydrates, 12 g of protein and 11 g of fat.
