“Why can’t I have a burpee-free vacation?!” (Manja Week 8)

Dear Week 8,
I LOVE you!

I have been looking forward to this vacation sooo much! Three weeks of much-needed vacation. I am so thankful to be back in Denmark with my family to visit family and friends. I need this recharge.

Workout 1: Nooooo, not burpees!!! Why can’t I have a burpee-free vacation? 🙁 Is it just me or are the Monday workouts always the hardest? I am not a Monday person and these workouts sure don’t make them any easier. I guess I am the one making my workout schedule and could choose to start my week on a Tuesday if I really wanted to. The only part of the flat out burpees that I like is the flat out part.

Workout 2: Tough, but fast! Woohoo, Manja-power!

Workout 3: I had some problems with the star jacks at first, but I have found out that if I do them a bit faster, they feel easier. Weird. It’s as if I can use the energy from one star jack for the next…does that make sense? I guess you just have to try them to understand what I mean. I had to take a one-minute break during the workout to help my son put his shirt on properly. He got dressed himself but put his shirt on inside out. Gotta mix in a bit of “mom” into my workout.

Workout 4: Oh, that is just really mean! Sit-ups and then leg raises afterwards? Really made my whole body shake. I have my eye on you Results! You’re going down.

Manja week 8

Am I the only one who feels like I have less time for myself on family vacations? It wasn’t really easy for me to find time to do my workouts this week. Normally I do my workouts on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday but because of the vacation and lacking a routine, it was pretty hard to stick to my workout schedule. I mean, as you can see, I managed to get them done but it wasn’t as regimented as it is when I am at home. I like my routine because I don’t get tempted to say, “I’ll do it tomorrow!” But I have 3 weeks here to figure out a good schedule and plan to get my workouts done.
