Which documents should you include?
Give us good reasons why you are the perfect fit for the job. Please indicate your earliest possible start date and salary expectations. Do not use a standard application letter and copy-paste random phrases. Take your time and think about it properly – it’s worth the effort!
We read through loads of CVs per day, so point out your talents as precisely as possible. Your CV should be well-structured, reverse chronological and should emphasize the relevant aspects of the job for which you are applying. If available, add the links to your online profiles such as LinkedIn, Xing, or Github.
We would like to have an insight into your previous performance. Therefore, prepare your school and/or university certificates including your grades as well as written references from previous employers.
If available, provide us with relevant work samples, such as your design portfolio, code, apps, content you created or projects in which you were involved.
How should you apply?
Please fill out the complete online form and upload all available documents. Please do not send your application documents via (e-)mail or bring them in personally. We will be able to process them more quickly via our online portal.
What else should you keep in mind?
- Avoid typos, spelling errors or grammar mistakes and take the time to thoroughly proofread your documents.
- If your CV does not list your skills and lacks at description of your tasks and responsibilities, we will not be able to judge your qualifications.
- Try to narrow down your CV to the most essential points and stick to a maximum of 2-3 pages.
- If you add a photo to your application, pick a professional one. We would like to see you from your best angle, and a cell-phone selfie might not be the best way to capture it.
How should you prepare?
Obviously, you should check out Runtastic prior to the interview and gather relevant information. This will not only help you during the interview, but also to reflect on your company fit.
In addition, ask yourself why you believe you are suitable for the job, why Runtastic would be the perfect employer for you and what you expect from us. Because this is what we intend to find out anyway.
Is there anything you would like to know about Runtastic, the position, the team or anything else? Write it down while preparing and ask us about it during your interview.
What should you wear?
We do not have a dress code, so come as you are. You should opt for the degree of casualness you are most comfortable with in an interview situation. Just keep in mind that we are proud to be part of adidas.
To us, the most important thing is that you fit in with the company culture. However, it helps if you have skills in your field of interest. To assess your level of expertise, we have come up with some short assignments and challenges for the respective field you are applying for.
Usually, after the first round interview, we will give you a few days’ time to work on a coding or a design challenge, plan a small campaign for us or present a new product feature. Our hiring managers and their team members will then discuss your results in a technical interview.
As tough as this may sound, it is actually fun (since we all love challenges, right?)
Meet & Greet
It doesn’t matter where you live, before joining Runtastic we would like to meet you in person. After you have successfully completed our interviews and technical challenges, we will invite you on site to meet members of our leadership team and have lunch with your future team members. If you have never been to Linz (or Austria) before, we will make sure that you spend a few days in our beautiful city, so you can get a better feel for the place you would be moving to.
What can you expect from the interview?
No worries, we won’t ask you to talk about yourself for the first ten minutes of the interview – we would like to find out about your personal interests as well as your enthusiasm for Runtastic. We want to hear about your personal motives rather than listen to standard interview answers that you learned in application training courses. We can assure you that you won’t have to recite your three biggest strengths and weaknesses.
Win us over by convincing us of your proactivity, team fit and your passion for delivering excellent work.
