Founded in 2009, our Austrian-based company located in Linz, is well known for our flagship Runtastic app which effortlessly tracks your fitness activities. In addition, we also offer a variety of health & fitness apps, expert-developed training plans, Story Runs and music mixes. Together with adidas, we create exceptional experiences for our worldwide community. Our young, motivated team stays focused on this clear vision: We want every individual to live a more aware and active lifestyle with Runtastic, leading to a longer, happier life.
The company itself has grown rapidly and, at just 8 years old, we have more than 230 employees from over 35+ nations - something we are really proud of. “I think this variety is also responsible for our success,” Runtastic CEO and Co-Founder Florian Gschwandtner adds. “We have our ‘Days of New Ideas’ where we have time for new projects and ideas that lie outside the usual department competence. On this day everybody can take a break from normal work and focus on new projects,” Florian explains. “We also value activities where we can strengthen our team spirit. Therefore, we invite all employees every second week to come together for breakfast with all food covered by us. It’s a wonderful opportunity to talk to colleagues from other departments and share thoughts & opinions. Of course we also have fitness activities that are free for all employees. You can decide if you want to do yoga, interval training, be on the running team or go to the gym.” All members of the team are avid Runtastic users as well as testers of our apps and products. It’s great to have people who love and know the brand give input and first-hand ideas for improvement.

Our headquarters is located in Linz, Austria. In addition, we have offices in Vienna and Salzburg (Austria), and make sure that we keep a tight connection within the three locations.
