Google Play Music and Runtastic team up
Google Play Music offers all Runtastic users a two-month free trial and access to customized workout playlists in the Runtastic app on Android.London | Published on: 07.10.2016
Today, Google Play Music and Runtastic, the world leader in fitness tracking and a member of the adidas Group since 2015, are launching a global partnership to offer Runtastic Running & Fitness app users a selection of free, motivating fitness playlists to accompany them whilst working out, as well as access to 40+ million tracks to stream and enjoy ad-free.
Google Play Music and Runtastic make it easier than ever before to match your workout and music taste within one app. After opening the Runtastic app’s music section, users will be presented with relevant workout playlists that they can play, pause and skip directly within the Runtastic app. From Today's Running Hits, which features songs with over 130 beats per minute (to help match your pace), to Sweaty EDM Workout featuring the best in dance, Google Play Music will provide music based on your preferred workout style directly in your Runtastic app. Whether you enjoy running to dance tracks or to heavy rock, the playlists provided will suit your music taste and make your fitness activity more enjoyable and complete in the blink of an eye.
Users will be able to create their own workout playlists, as well, and search for an artists to exercise to. Furthermore, users get access to the full Google Play Music catalogue to stream ad-free at any time in the Google Play Music app.
To start listening, users need to open the Runtastic app’s music section.
Playlists are available in the Runtastic app for Android and iOS users of Runtastic will also be eligible for a free trial of Play Music through promotional links, as well. Offers will be available globally in the countries where Play Music and Runtastic are operating.
