The app features healthy, easy-to-create recipes – presented via colorful, playful step-by-step videos – along with helpful “how to” videos and numerous tagging capabilities to help you identify meals and snacks that fit into your meal plan and note favorites for your next kitchen session.

In true start-up style, Runtasty is a prime example of innovation and iteration at Runtastic. In 2016, the Runtasty concept was born during a DONI project – the brainchild of members of the in-house Content Marketing team. DONI, for those who are not familiar, stands for Day Of New Ideas and is the quarterly, two-day innovation session where diverse teams of Runtastics come together to work on new ideas, projects and processes that do not fit into their daily work (yet). In the weeks and months that followed the inception of Runtasty, “pilot” videos were created by the Media team and then tested across social media channels and on the Runtastic Blog. They were an instant hit.
To date, Runtasty videos already boast over 11 million views online, with the most popular recipes including: Avocado Chicken Wrap, Creamy Smoked Salmon Guacamole, Hummus-Crusted Chicken with Veggies and the signature Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie. The app will be launched including 43 healthy recipes videos, 7 instructional “how to” videos and 24 categories for easy organization and searching. New videos will be added monthly, to ensure that users are continuously pushed to try new recipes and seasonal ingredients.

The app for iOS and Android is available for free download in the App Store and Google Play or at https://www.runtastic.com/apps/runtasty/lite. The app is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
