Scott Dunlap to become new General Manager at Runtastic
Today, adidas announced the appointment of the new General Manager for Runtastic. Today, adidas announced the appointment of the new General Manager for Runtastic. Scott Dunlap (49) will head up the company’s leadership team in Linz as of May 27, 2019 together with co-founders Alfred Luger and Christian Kaar, as well as Mathis Gerkensmeyer. The US citizen will report to Scott Zalaznik, who is leading adidas' digital division. Scott Dunlap succeeds Runtastic co-founder Florian Gschwandtner, who left the company at his own request at the end of 2018.
Scott Dunlap has more than 20 years of experience developing digital products and strategies for large corporations and start-ups. At Brilliant Home Technology, he most recently served as Chief Product Officer. Prior to that, Dunlap held various executive positions at Silicon Valley companies, for example, CEO and founder of NearbyNow, a developer of mobile shopping applications, as well as Vice President of Innovation for online payment service PayPal.
Scott Dunlap holds an MBA from Californian Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is an enthusiastic trail runner and national champion in numerous distances, including marathon, 50 miles and 100 miles.
