Runtastic focuses on women with new version of Runtastic Results
Dynamic bodyweight training app boasts new videos, content & training plans custom-designed for women.
Today Runtastic—a leader in the digital health and fitness space that offers an innovative portfolio of apps, products and services for tracking and managing health and fitness data—announced a new version of its Results app, featuring a dynamic, personalized training plan, new exercises and content, specifically created for women and targeted to their fitness goals. The updated bodyweight training app includes over 30 new exercises and HD workout videos and a new 12-week training plan made for women.
For the first time, Runtastic partnered with adidas athletes and ambassadors to provide content that will inspire and educate women in a whole new way. The new training plan is customizable based on each woman’s fitness level and personal goals. The female-focused workouts and exercises in Results offer a targeted approach to exercise and personal progress, also encouraging a sense of community amongst female users. “Millions of women already use Results to reach their fitness goals,” said Florian Gschwandtner, CEO and co-founder of Runtastic. “We’ve listened to their recommendations and created new content, customized workouts and a training plan that focuses on their feedback. We want to help any woman—young moms, business women, fitness fans, you name it—succeed with Runtastic. With the new Results, we’re giving women an even more customized experience, which is bound to lead to fitness success and boosted self confidence.” Made for WomenThe first step in the 12-week transformation is a simple fitness test to assess every woman’s individual fitness level. Based on the outcome, a personalized training program is developed for each woman, which includes more than 180 step-by-step instructional exercise videos and a week-by-week health and nutrition guide. Over the course of three months, workout plans are adjusted weekly per the user’s feedback and experience – making the plan flexible and tailored to each woman’s needs. The workouts available in the app include all of the favorites from the original Results app in addition to specialized exercises popular amongst women. Over 30 additional exercises target areas that female users expressed they’d like to focus on likes abs and glutes, as well as more general goals such as developing leaner, toned bodies. While different, the 15 – 45 minute workouts are equal in difficulty to the the original Results plan, offering more opportunities for women to focus on shaping the bodies they want.Empowering Users Around the WorldThe Results app and all the new women-focused features are available in 14 languages including: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and more.“Our focus on women speaks to our commitment to encourage, empower and equip women with the tools they need to achieve their goals,” said Stephanie Peterson, Chief Marketing Officer at Runtastic. “I’m so proud that we’re a company that celebrates our female users and gives them the tools to build confidence and communities, inspire one another and achieve success together.”Advantages of Bodyweight TrainingFor many Runtastic users, weight loss is the main motivation for working out. Bodyweight training—using an individual’s own weight to provide resistance for exercise movements—is proven to jumpstart metabolism, aid in weight loss and boost an individual’s entire fitness level in less time than many other training methods. A key element that makes bodyweight training so beneficial to women is the convenience; the exercises can be done anytime, anywhere with no equipment, gym or trainer required. The training also improves agility, stability and endurance, and also prevents injuries. “Women have weaker connective tissue. One of the best things women can do for their bodies is strengthening their muscles. No, that doesn’t mean getting bulky – that’s not possible with the amount of testosterone the average woman has,” said Lunden Souza, Fitness Coach at Runtastic. “Whether you’re a woman who wants to lose weight, train for a marathon, have more energy, gain confidence or simply feel better, Results is the key to success. I am excited to see what our women will accomplish in 12-weeks with this new training plan.”Download Runtastic ResultsThe app for iOS and Android is available for free download in the App Store and Google Play or at https://www.runtastic.com/apps/results.
