Scott is the CEO and General Manager at Runtastic and succeeds co-founder Florian Gschwandtner in this role. The US-American moved from Silicon Valley to Austria to make his dream of connecting one billion athletes all around the world a reality together with Runtastic and adidas.
As a former product and marketing executive at high-growth companies such as Brilliant, PAX Labs (JUUL Labs), PayPal, Opsware, NearbyNow, and E.piphany, Scott brings invaluable experience and insights to the young company. In the Austrian Alps, the passionate runner and national champion in various distances, including 100 miles, has found the perfect playground for his trail runs.
Mathis acts as CFO at Runtastic. After studying Business Administration and six years of professional experience at the German publishing house Axel Springer, he joined the Runtastic team in April 2015 and was appointed CFO in January 2019. The 1. FC Köln fan, who was born and raised in Northern Germany, brings insights from a big corporation to the young, agile Runtastic environment. His love of numbers and analytical thinking is complemented by witty humor and a down-to-earth attitude which also surfaces in one of his favorite pastimes: exploring Europe with his family in their camper van.
Alfred is COO and one of the four founders of Runtastic. His degree in Economics makes him the one and only non-technician in the founder team. Alfred, who likes to play chess and cards, is known for his incredibly strong willpower and willingness to take on new challenges. During recent years, he discovered his passion for running and can now look back on several half and full marathons and even an Iron Man. Alfred’s story perfectly illustrates the motivational power of the adidas Runtastic apps.
Stefan is the CTO of Runtastic. After studying Mobile Computing at the University of Applied Sciences Hagenberg, Stefan became the very first employee at Runtastic and is proud to have been with the company from the start. He is responsible for overseeing the tech teams and believes that strong, autonomous teams with clear goals are key for successful, agile work. A sports nerd, as Stefan calls himself, he spends his free time out and about on his mountain bike, racing bike, snowboard and splitboard.
