The oceans are at risk: our seas around the world are contaminated with more than 150 million tons of plastic.
adidas Runtastic and Parley’s Global Cleanup Network teamed up to raise awareness of marine plastic pollution and the digital campaign Run For The Oceans was born!
The motto: 1 km run = the equivalent weight of 10 plastic bottles cleaned-up (up to 500.000 pounds).
Hospital staff, grocery clerks, and volunteers – these are the heroes keeping our communities going in 2020! During the #HOMETEAMHERO Challenge, together with Suunto, Polar, Garmin, Zwift, GMR, and Joyrun, adidas Runtastic showed gratitude with a donation relay.
The result: a total of 2.5M active hours were collected and an additional $1 million USD was donated to the WHO COVID-19 Response Fund!

With Run Wild, a challenge in the adidas Running app in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme, Internet of Elephants and other conservation partners, fitness ethusiasts around the globe raised awareness of endangered species and stood up for greater biodiversity protection globally.
